School Board -Two year term

My name is Jamie Carreau and I’m running for a 2 year seat on the School Board.  I have lived in Derry for 21 years and I graduated from Pinkerton, where I even met my husband.  

Like many others in Derry, I was concerned about high taxes and maintaining the quality of our schools.  When I learned that we would have five open seats on the board, I felt compelled to step up for my community. I love my town, and our outstanding teachers. Many of whom have had a significant impact on my children’s lives. 

Being an Autism mom, special education is extremely important to me. Between my 2 kids, we have been enrolled in 6 out of the 9 Derry public schools including DVS. For all of these reasons, I think I would be a good voice for the School Board.

 My kids have grown up in the Derry School system, and it will be an honor to serve on the board, if given the opportunity.
