School Board three year term

 My name is Karen Rand, and I am a proud, 30 year resident of this wonderful town. I am running for one of the three-year terms on the Derry School Board, and I am eager to bring my experience in project management and real estate to serve our community.

As a mother of four Pinkerton graduates, and now a proud grandparent with a grandchild in Derry schools, I deeply understand the importance of providing every student with the best possible educational experience. The Derry School District has given my family incredible opportunities, and I want to work hard to ensure that every student, teacher, and family in our community has access to the same level of excellence.

My involvement with the CASA program has further reinforced my commitment to advocating for children in need, particularly those who are facing challenges in their educational journey. Every child deserves to have a voice and the support they need to grow into their full potential.

I am committed to working collaboratively with fellow elected officials to find practical, innovative solutions to the challenges facing our schools. From addressing infrastructure needs to ensuring the continued success of our dedicated educators, I will work tirelessly to ensure that Derry’s education system is one that supports all students, at every stage of their academic journey.
